Less than 249 grams and only 389 euros in the new DJI Mini SE 2 drone

Chinese drone manufacturer DJI has briefly unveiled its new budget drone DJI Mini SE 2. We say fleetingly because the product page has already been removed from its website, and currently we can only access it through the google cache. Possibly, it was an oversight and we will soon see an official presentation.

One of the advantages of this DJI Mini SE 2 and that it shares with other of the latest models of the Mini range, is that it weighs less than 249 grams, which places it below 250 grams and allows you to enjoy much more permissive legislation and regulations than the one that regulates to heavier drones, allowing flight in the city and over people (always complying with certain basic rules and restrictions).

Beyond this fundamental feature, the DJI Mini SE 2 is a cut-out version of other drones in the Mini family such as the Mini 2 or the Mini 3 and Mini 3 Pro. These cutouts are mainly present in the camera, which is made up of a 12-megapixel 1/2.3-inch sensor capable of recording at FullHD and 2.7K, but it does not reach 4K as its predecessor does. The camera is placed on a 3-axis motorized gimbal.

Another of the strongest points is its price, which remains at only 389 euros, placing it as one of the cheapest drones in the company, at least if we are looking for something capable of taking quality photos and videos together with autonomy that reaches just over 30 minutes.

It uses the O2 system for real-time HD video transmission to the controller, and from there to the smartphone, with a maximum range in ideal conditions of 10 km. It is capable of flying in winds of up to 38 km/h.
