As we can read in a peratech press releasea company that focuses its efforts on force sensing technologies, Lenovo will integrate keyboards with Peratech force sensors in its Legion 7 and 7iso users can enjoy granular control of some parameters that are assigned to the WASD keys.
A clear example of this would be in car games, airplanes, or essentially any vehicle that needs granular control of its movements, since in many cases it is better than simply having an all or nothing. Likewise, in games that allow us free movement, we can simply regulate the speed of our movements.
Unlike analog keys that measure key travel, this system seems to rely on a mechanism similar to that of touch pens, capable of measuring the force that is being applied with load sensors, so that for users who have never used an analog keyboard, this system can be more intuitive.
In any case, it is still early to judge its good or bad functioning, so We will have to wait for the first reviews of the Legion 7 to know if Peratech can face analog technologies such as Wooting’s.
