What seemed like a punctual device like the ACER Chromebook 516 GE oriented towards cloud gaming seems to have become a trend, and after ASUS did the same with the ASUS Vive CX55 Flip, it is now lenovo the one who announces his lenovo Ideapad Gaming Chromebook cloud gaming oriented.
Something that these curious devices have in common is that they share screens with refresh rates above 60 Hz. In the case of Lenovo, we have a 16:10 WQXGA resolution panel with 120 HZ and a 16″ diagonal.
Inside we have low-power hardware, to choose between the Intel Core i5-1235U or Core i3-1215U and its 15W Alder Lake family. It is accompanied by 8 GB of 4,266 MHz LPDDR4x memory and a 2,560 GB or 512 GB NVMe SSD, although there is also a more modest version with 128 GB integrated with eMMC. All this is powered by a 71 Wh battery with 11 hours of autonomy, USB “3.2” type A and C connectivity and WiFi 6E with BT 5.
Lenovo promises full connectivity with Cloud Gaming services like Amazon Luna, NVIDIA GeForce Now, and Xbox Cloud Gaming in beta. Interestingly, it seems that this is when Google is powering these types of devices, right after shutting down its own Stadia cloud gaming service.
Its price will start at 600 dollars and will arrive this month, its complete specifications are:
