Riot Games has a surprise for the community of League of Legends: a powerful new champion. Her name is Naafiri, also known as the Hundred Bites Hound. The studio posted several videos to introduce us to this new creature-type assassin that’s great for beginning players.

Who is Nafiri?
The idea to create Naafiri was born from Riot Games’ desire to have a new non-humanoid champion, so they opted for the creature type. Thus was born a dangerous canine with a dark background and a powerful pack to back him.
According to the developers, Naafiri and her pack are a unique entity, having learned to survive the harshness of the Shurima desert. The champion’s spirit was bound to an ancient dagger that someone left behind in a mysterious crypt.
One day, a tomb raider stumbled across the item, but he knew there was Darkin magic in it. So he did his best not to touch her directly, otherwise he would become Naafiri’s new guest. On his return trip he was attacked by a pack that annihilated him.
That was how that pack, led by Naafiri, found the dagger and gained the power of the Darkin spirit. Below you can see the reveal trailer of the champion:
When will Naafiri arrive at Lol and what will be their skills?
According to Riot Games, the champion will join the roster with patch 13.14, which is scheduled for the end of July. So, there are still a few weeks left for her official debut. As for her abilities, below you can see a summary and a gameplay so that you prepare for her arrival:
- Passive – We Are More: Naafiri spawns her teammates who attack the targets of her attacks and abilities
- [Q] – Darkin Daggers: Naafiri throws up to 2 daggers. If the target is bleeding, this ability deals additional damage and bleeding. Companions pounce on hit targets to attack them
- [W] – Dam in sight: Naafiri and her companions dash towards an enemy, colliding with the first champion hit, dealing damage
- [E] – Eviscerate: Naafiri dashes and damages enemies in an area around her, retreats and heals her teammates
- [R] – The Call of the Pack: Naafiri empowers her pack and spawns additional companions, gains speed and vision ups, and a shield when attacking a champion. All effects are reset after the first champion takedown
