Pedro Sánchez arrives in kyiv to meet with Zelenski
The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has already arrived in kyiv to show his support for the country one year after the Russian invasion. Sánchez has been received by the Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Ukrainian ambassador in Madrid and the Spanish ambassador in Ukraine. He is scheduled to meet with President Volodimir Zelensky.
“I return to kyiv a year after the start of the war,” Sánchez wrote on his Twitter account. “We will be next to Ukraine and its people until peace returns to Europe,” added the president along with a video that shows him getting off the train and walking along the platform.
Sánchez already visited Ukraine on April 21 of last year, almost two months after the start of the contest. In recent days, other leaders such as US President Joe Biden have traveled to the country and met with President Volodimir Zelenski.
This same Wednesday, Margarita Robles has announced the shipment of six Leopard 2A4 tanks to Ukraine in the Congress of Deputies. Defense Minister Robles explained that she is working “in absolute coordination” with the allies: “We have already had several meetings with Germany and Poland.”
