June 9 () –

The mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, has reported this Friday that the authorities of the capital plan to acquire up to two hundred rapid-deployment modular shelters to increase the number of bunkers in the city, an issue that in recent days has caused tensions between local and state government.

The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelensky, ordered a full audit of all defense structures in the country at the end of May after three people died in Kiev due to a Russian attack because they were unable to access a shelter, it says. UNITED.

“The enemy’s use of ballistic weapons prompts us to create additional shelters easily available for people, mainly in the residential areas of the city,” Klitschko said.

Likewise, the authorities of the Ukrainian capital have reported that they will install a mechanized door-opening system using a security code in a large part of kyiv’s bunkers. “It is possible to equip some 3,000 shelters with such a system,” they have stated from the local government.
