Kueski presents a new mobile payment option for physical stores

This solution will be key in Mexico, since a large part of the population does not have bank cards and faces limitations in access to mobile internet.

The study on cash carried out by Banxico in 2023 highlights that 80% of transactions are still carried out in cash. By overcoming these obstacles, Kueski seeks to strengthen connections between millions of consumers and affiliated businesses, thus promoting greater financial inclusion.

“Achieving instant payments digitally and without an internet connection will be a fundamental improvement for the modern Mexican consumer,” said Jaime Romero, CTO at Kueski.

“At Kueski, we have built one of the most solid merchant networks in Mexico and it is constantly growing. Almost 60% of our users say that if Kueski Pay had not been available as a payment method in their last purchase, they would not have been able to do it. With this new payment option, our thousands of affiliated businesses will be able to attract more customers and significantly increase their sales,” he added.

He highlighted that Kueski's mission is to facilitate the financial lives of Mexicans, and this recent innovation marks a significant step towards greater financial accessibility for all.

In Mexico, 70% of Kueski customers have expressed interest in using this payment method in physical stores.

Earlier this year, Kueski announced that users can now use Kueski Pay to make purchases on Amazon Mexico. This payment option is also available on some of the brands like Estée Lauder, MAC, Clinique, Adidas and many more.
