Last year, Konami signed an agreement so that Liga MX, the highest circuit of Mexican soccer, is exclusive to eFootball. That said, it seems the company didn’t have enough of that, as it is now working to ally itself with the most popular teams in the country. He already did it with América and now he signed with his biggest rival: Club Deportivo Guadalajara, better known as Chivas.

Through a statement, Konami confirmed that it reached an agreement to associate with Club Deportivo Guadalajara. With this, the Japanese developer has an exclusive partnership with the team that will allow it to faithfully recreate all the players on the team with a specialized 3D scanning process.

“We are excited to partner with Konami, an iconic video game developer with a long-established presence in the world soccer business, with our family,” said Amaury Vergara, president of Guadalajara. “Through this partnership, we will connect with all generations of fans through multiple avenues of engagement and continue to fuel the unwavering passions of our base while increasing our global visibility through the platform of eFootball”.
