Konami celebrates 9 years of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and fans give it their all to the company
Social networks have celebrated 9 years of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Paina game that divided opinions, but that in several of its sections was overflowing with quality at the highest level. However, it has also been an opportunity to remember the problems that arose during its development, which led to the breakup between Kojima and Konami. Almost a decade after this happened, the community is still upset and today they made it clear to the Japanese company.
Konami’s official account on X dedicated a post to the 9 years of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Painremembering the phrase that the doctor says to… Big Boss or not?… when he wakes up from the coma, informing him that it has been 9 years since he fell into the hospital.
Unfortunately, the community’s response was not long in coming and they hammered the company by reminding them that it was also 9 years since Kojima left through the back door, in addition to that unfortunate incident when the promotional material for the game removed the legend “A Hideo Kojima Game.”
Fans also complained to Konami that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will remain incomplete and its final chapter will only remain as a graphic novel that can be consulted in the collector’s edition or on YouTube since Kojima Productions did not have the opportunity to finish it.
Despite the years that have passed since the breakup, the figure of Hideo Kojima continues to weigh heavily on Konami’s creatives and proof of this is the recent statement by Noriaki Okamura, producer of Metal Gear Solid Deltaremake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eaterwho revealed that the creatives working on this title will appear as a team because they decided not to name a director given that they respect the trajectory and value of Kojima’s work.
