( Spanish) — The vice president of Argentina, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, published a message on social networks announcing that she will recuse federal judge María Eugenia Capuchetti, who is instructing in the case for the attempted assassination of the president on September 1.
Fernandez posted the announcement on his Twitter account along with a video explaining the reasons for the challenge.
The video states that “Judge Capuchetti paralyzed and boycotted the investigation.” In addition, it involves the national deputy of Together for Change, Gerardo Milman, as a participant in it for allegedly mentioning that someone would kill her, and stresses that he was not called to testify despite the evidence against her.

For his part, Deputy Milman made reference to the accusations days before in Argentine media, explained that he would appear before the Justice to deny the versions that link him to the case, and said that it is a political operation, since he never has discussed an attack against the vice president.

In the case for the assassination attempt against Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, the main defendants are Fernando Sabag Montiel, the man who pointed and triggered the weapon from which the bullet ultimately did not come out; and his girlfriend, Brenda Uliarte.
