Jujutsu Kaisen will have a new movie in 2025

The Juju Fest 2024 event surprised Jujutsu Kaisen fans with exciting news: The animation of a new compilation film of the work was announced!

The production is part of the storyline narrated during the second season and will bring to life the story of the Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu-hen (Hidden Inventory/Premature Death) arc of the manga. Amid the excitement caused by the announcement, a visual was also revealed. The film is scheduled to premiere in 2025.

The Rise of Jujutsu Kaisen

The first season of the anime aired in fall 2020 with a total of 24 episodes, while the second season premiered in summer 2023. The streaming platform, Crunchyroll, streamed both seasons simultaneously around the world (excluding Asia) as the episodes were released in Japan.

The Jujutsu Kaisen anime is an adaptation of the supernatural action manga written and illustrated by renowned mangaka Akutami Gege. He began publishing the work in Weekly Shounen Jump magazine in March 2018 and has recently announced its end, which is scheduled for September 30 of this year.

Shueisha The manga released its 27th volume on July 4, and its 28th volume is scheduled to be released in October.
