Judge sets date to start Twitter trial against Elon Musk

Musk had threatened to stop the deal unless the company showed proof that spam and bot accounts accounted for less than 5% of users who see advertising on the social networking service.

It is worth mentioning that on July 11, Twitter shares fell 7% after Musk withdrew his offer, erasing around 1,800 million dollars in market value.

This would not be the first time that market shares have fallen due to Musk’s decisions. He had even already received lawsuits by Twitter shareholders before the district court of San Francisco, California, as investors allege that the billionaire engaged in market manipulation “and bought Twitter shares at an artificially low price”, which could have saved $156 million.
