In the last few hours, the Minister of Finance, José Antonio Ocampo, confirmed that Jorge Castaño was ratified as financial superintendent.

The official has been serving in the position since 2017, from the Government of Juan Manuel Santos, and had also been ratified four years ago by the former president Iván Duque to continue leading the entity.

Ocampo highlighted that Castaño was ratified “for his specialized career”, and said that this is a sign of confidence for the country.
