Her debut studio album, JordanThe album had been released five days earlier and one of its tracks, “Senopati in the Rain,” was already gaining traction on streaming services. For a soul album created by a young Indonesian artist, this momentum could not be taken lightly.

Flirtatious in her lyricism and firm in her musical production, Jordan It can be described as a soul-pop album that tells the story of a romantic musician learning about love for the first time. It’s an album that, sonically, bridges the legacy of the past with the sensibilities of the modern era. Interestingly, Jordan didn’t have a professional musician in mind when he was a child. What first intrigued him was the world of film, until he noticed a gradual change in his younger self.

“Over time, I realized that I had begun to pay more attention to the soundtrack of a film than to the film itself,” he recalls with a laugh.
