Safadi has defended that the “only way to realize the rights of the Palestinian people” is to advance the two-state solution to achieve a “just and global peace that guarantees the security of all.” In this sense, he has highlighted the importance of safeguarding the right of the Palestinians to freedom and “to have an independent and sovereign State.”

The two ministers discussed bilateral issues and measures to end the “dangerous escalation of violence in the region and avoid a full-blown regional war from which no one will benefit.” “This war will threaten international security and peace,” he lamented.

They have also agreed to start a dialogue to address all bilateral issues and develop relations based “on mutual respect, non-interference in internal affairs and cooperation.”

For his part, Araqchi has emphasized the need for “collective” actions by the countries in the area to stop the “war machine of the occupation regime and prevent expansion from leading to war”, as he has picked up by the state news agency IRNA.

Araqchi, has expressed his “deepest concern and sadness at the unfortunate situation of the displaced people of Gaza and Lebanon, who are now deprived of basic facilities to continue with their lives” and has called for the mobilization of all capabilities of Muslim countries to send humanitarian aid to these populations.
