For people who are in the vicinity of Bogotá and are looking for a job, the National Learning Service announced that it will hold an in-person job fair this Thursday, October 3, 2024 in Funza, Cundinamarca, in order to support the access of Colombians to the labor market in these times of scarcity of offers.
At the event, which will take place in the Community Hall of the Villa Adriana neighborhood, 350 vacancies will be offered in various sectors, within its strategy to promote employability in the Western Sabana region; connecting to those who are looking to locate with companies that require labor.

The vacancies include positions such as assistants, operators, technicians and technologists, among others, while participating companies are looking for profiles for positions such as drivers, forklift drivers, merchandisers, security guards, and technicians specialized in aerosols and plastics and interested parties must present themselves at the Place the appointment with a resume.
Javier Jiménez Rincón, regional director (e) of the Sena in Cundinamarca, He highlighted that the fair reaffirms the entity’s commitment to employability. This, in a context where the job search is increasingly difficult and the fair provides an accessible platform for the inhabitants of the Sabana region.
“Attendees will be able to access additional services, such as advice to prepare a resume and prepare for job interviews. Officials from the Public Employment Agency will be present to ensure that all procedures are agile, fast and efficient,” said the official.
Interested parties must bring their updated resume and supporting documents, such as educational certificates and work experience. Likewise, the Sena warned that these processes are free and do not require intermediation. from third parties outside the entity or the payment of forms or exams to participate.

It should be noted that one of the objectives of the National Learning Service is to promote spaces for social and productive inclusion. and thanks to their work, nearly 440 thousand women and men between the ages of 18 and 28 have also had the opportunity to access occupational orientation sessions focused on topics related to the preparation of a resume, job interview tips, networks. effective for job search, soft skills, image and personal brand, among others.

The departments with the most citizen participation were: Cundinamarca with 2,081 people; Capital District with 1,416 and Risaralda with 881,” explained Jorge Eduardo Londoño Ulloa, general director of the Sena.
According to this official recently, “the profiles most required by companies were: commercial advisors, contact center advisors, drivers, administrative and accounting assistants, nursing assistants, kitchen assistants, welders, many in the ICT area and other trades that since “The Sena are at the service of young people who want to start their career path.”
