Jimmy Fallon mocks Donald Trump with a vain explanation of why he is so “obsessed” with Mars

Jimmy Fallon hit a pair of home runs in Donald Trump and his son, Donald Trump Jr.after the former president promised that the United States would reach Mars if he returned to the White House.

“Speaking of Trump, he just promised that if elected, the United States will go to Mars. When Trump was told that Mars has no intelligent life, he said, ‘Let’s rename him Don Jr.,’” the “Tonight Show” host said Monday.

“Apparently Trump is obsessed with Mars because it looks like a selfie,” he added.

Speaking to a crowd in North Carolina on Saturday, Trump invoked billionaire SpaceX boss Elon Musk, who endorsed the Republican presidential nominee, saying: “We want to get to Mars before our term is up.”

Trump added: “And we also want to have great military protection in space, because that’s where it’s going to be.”
