Jennifer Garner is in mourning the loss of a friend who perished in the last Los Angeles forest fires.
The life of the Alias actress has been turned upside down by the destructive fires wrapping portions of California.
In an interview with MSNBC, the actress shared the heartbreaking news that her family methodist church It was destroyed in the fire.
She said: “It’s where my children went to Sunday school, we lit the Advent candle there together a couple of weeks ago, we watched the little children perform, it’s a pre-school, it’s a central place for our community. I loved being there because everywhere I went I would bump into someone.”
Jennifer also lost a friend due to the ongoing fires.
In response to the disaster, Jennifer volunteers to support devastated communities. He has partnered with chef José Andrés, founder of World Central Kitchen, to provide food aid to evacuees and first responders.
Jennifer has also used her platform to share evacuation resources, donation links, and recognize the efforts of firefighters and aid groups.
Several other stars are dedicating their time to disaster relief such as prince harry, Meghan Markleand Halle Berry, who is donating his “entire closet” to help victims.
According to reports from The Mirror, thousands of firefighters continue to bravely battle the wind-driven flames that have caused at least 11 deaths and prompted widespread evacuations.
