The Japanese Defense Minister, Yasukazu Hamada, has ordered this Saturday the Self-Defense Forces of his country (SDF) to increase its preparation before the possibility of a North Korean rocket falling on its territory, after the announcement of the launch of the first satellite Pyongyang military reconnaissance spy.
The SDF will work to deploy Patriot Advanced Capability-3 land-based interceptor missiles and Aegis-equipped destroyer warships carrying Standard Missile-3 sea-based interceptor missiles, government sources have reported and Japan’s Kyodo news agency has reported. News.
“We will make preparations to be able to respond to any circumstance that may cause damage to Japan,” these sources added.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ordered the launch of Pyongyang’s first military reconnaissance spy satellite on Wednesday after completion of construction work, stressing the importance of developing the space industry.
Obtaining military reconnaissance satellites “will reinforce military self-defense capabilities to defend the security climate and territorial integrity of the State, and the security and development interests of the population” through the use of “online preventive military power with the situation,” Kim explained.
