Attendees have the opportunity to camp inside the event, and right there eat, sleep, play and perhaps most importantly, share and make themselves visible to find academic and job opportunities.
The event is divided into “lands”, each with a unique theme and experience, but bound together by contemporary technologies and the rush to meet others who share an interest in making good use of them. This year it is made up of eight thematic lands, six of which already come from past editions and two are new bets: Food Land and Travel Land.
In each land there will be unique experts and talks. For example, in Health Land there are talks about the relationship between the health industry and new technologies, which became highly relevant in past editions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Gamer Land has served as an agglomeration where video game studios have been born. Genius Arena is the space where the Hackathon takes place and it is here where many expose their skills and learn from others, and where genuine opportunities to find work in companies inside and outside of Mexico arise.
“We have had successful employment relationships derived from hackathon, or derived from some other activity or activation”, commented Millán Campos. “We have documented the case of some projects that today are startups, that are born as an idea within Talent Land, and thanks to the will of the sponsor and the young people who developed the proposal, today they are legally established, they are companies that provide jobs”.
Jalisco Talent Land makes alliances with universities, sponsors and various schools in Mexico to allow students to attend in suitable conditions for them, with prices that they can cover.
As there are so many interesting activities in different spaces at the same time, attendees who cover the cost (or those who have obtained a scholarship for the event) will be able to access all the content in streaming for a limited time, in case they want to review a talk that They found it very interesting, or see one that they missed.
On this occasion, Millán Campos told us, the contents will be shorter. Before, the stage was granted to the guest for an hour, but this time the conferences will last 25 minutes to leave time for dialogue, and also to make content more digestible, reaching faster conclusions.
WHAT ABOUT ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE?
The topic that will occupy great attention of attendees and guests this year is AI. Through many talks it will be addressed what it is, what opportunities exist now and what risks must be taken into account.
“It will be a general debate… We have to talk about those fears, those risks… we have to talk about the ethics of using these tools… We are relying on different experts who can propose something to us,” said Millán Campos.
Jalisco Talent Land 2023 is a unique opportunity for those who yearn to be up to date with the latest trends, and discover new professional opportunities with the technologies that will determine how we work, study and socialize in the coming years.
