Pokemon It is a franchise for children, but throughout the 27 years of its existence it has been involved in some disputes that have somehow forged its history or even generated urban legends. One of these disputes weeks ago came to an end and thanks to it today we can see the first Kadabra card in the Pokémon TCG for the first time in 20 years.
As you well know, the psychic Uri Geller for a long time had a legal battle with The Pokémon Company for allegedly having been inspired by him to create Kadabra, a creature that, like him, used spoons to demonstrate his mental powers.
However, Geller decided to end this dispute and gave Nintendo permission to reuse the character’s image in the brand’s products, including the anime and Pokémon TCG.

How is the new Kadabra card in Pokémon TCG?
The return of the Pokémon was very timely, since The Pokémon Company was preparing an expansion set starring the first 151 Pokémon of Generation I, discovered in Kanto.
Thanks to this, Kadabra will appear and to formally present the set The Pokémon Company used the evolutionary line of Abra, in which the new Kadabra card can be seen, the first since 2003, well remember that the last time Kadabra appeared on a card was on the set skyridge.
In art (via pokebeach) Kadabra appears in a dark environment and with his iconic spoon suffering from the pressure of his psychic power. It is also seen that his number matches that of the creature in the Pokédex.
In case you missed it: clues suggest that Pokemon will dabble in NFTs.
The numbering on the cards reveals that apart from the 151 Pokémon cards there will be 15 more, but the final number of cards that will make up the set is unknown, since the number that is seen at the bottom of the cards Secret Rare cards are not included.
The expansion will be called pokemon card 151 and will debut on June 16, 2023 in Japan. Unfortunately, there is no date for a Western release yet, but taking into account previous sets, it is very likely that it will not be more than 2 months before it arrives in this region as well.
