It's official. Disney+ and Star+ merge into the same platform

What will happen to my Disney+ subscription?

In addition to the fact that subscribers will now be able to find both entertainment proposals on a single platform, another of the characteristics of this merger is that all the corresponding configurations will also be carried over.

For example, parental controls or profiles protected by a PIN will be maintained to limit access to series or movies that do not fall into the childhood category.

The company confirmed that based on this new integrated experience, different subscription alternatives will also be provided to give users greater flexibility when choosing the plan that best suits their preferences and needs.

Therefore, starting June 26, consumers will be able to choose between three Disney+ subscription plans: Premium, Standard and Standard with Ads. The latter will initially be available only in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Colombia, to be integrated into commercial partner packages. If Star+ is not available in a particular Latin American country, then only Disney+ Premium will be available in that territory.
