It seems that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is so big that it cannot fit on a single disc of PS5 and Xbox Series X

Gamers are in for a nasty surprise if they buy a physical copy of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. As it turns out, according to recent information, the disc version of the game from Reswpan and EA that launches on April 28 will require an additional data download before fans can play it in its entirety.

As you surely know, it was recently confirmed that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor it will be a huge game. To begin with, we have its version for PC which will occupy 155 GB of the space available on your console. For their part, the versions of PS5 and Xbox Series X have a similar case occupying 147.577 GB and 139.08 GB of space, respectively. The least download will be on Xbox Series S, a version that apparently Star Wars Jedi: Survivor you need only 44 GB, a difference of about 100 GB.

Perhaps many will choose the decision to buy the physical version by collection or to avoid downloading content. If you are in the second group we have bad news for you, since a reddit user named NightwingXII shared an image of the physical copies of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PS5 and Xbox Series X. There it was noticed that the cover has a legend with the words “Download required” written in the lower left.

Apparently the image comes from Mighty Ape, a video game store in New Zealand. This theory makes sense since in the background you can see a lot of copies for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Thus, it seems that they are true copies of the expected game.

Of course, it should be noted that, if true, at the moment it is unknown how much data will be necessary to download in order to play. However, it seems that it is a measure with which EA sought to save itself the problems of having to edit Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on 2 disks, as happened last generation with red dead redemption 2 and The Last of Us: Part II.
