September 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Israel’s Attorney General’s Office has charged two Israeli settlers, one of whom is under US sanctions, with terrorism and racially motivated attacks against Bedouins in the West Bank settlement of Givat Ronen.
The incident dates back to August this year, when the two men attacked five Israeli Arab citizens – including a two-year-old girl and three women – who had mistakenly entered the illegal settlement south of the West Bank city of Nablus, The Times of Israel reported.
One of them is David Hasdai, who was sanctioned by the US government in February for his illegal actions in the occupied West Bank against the Palestinian population. This time he has been charged with terrorism, assault, arson and racially motivated damage to property.
The other suspect in the Israeli case is Yaakov Goelman, who is charged with deliberate damage to property and blackmail, all with racist motives. These charges have gained great relevance because the prosecution rarely acts when the victims are Palestinian.
