The Knesset Guard, the body responsible for the security of Israel’s Parliament, evacuated Health Minister Uriel Busso from his office on Monday after he opened an envelope containing suspicious powder.
The envelope has been placed inside a sealed container intended for these cases and will now be sent to the Biological Institute for examination, as reported by a Knesset spokesperson and reported by the newspaper ‘The Times of Israel’.
For his part, Minister Busso has undergone a medical examination that has ruled out any type of symptoms. The authorities have cordoned off the minister’s office until the search of the room is completed.
The Israeli public broadcasting channel, Kan, has published on its social networks a video of the moment in which two workers dressed in biochemical protection suits transport the ballot box in which the suspicious envelope has been placed.
