The Israeli Armed Forces reported this Sunday that its aircraft have bombed and destroyed more than 50 “terrorist targets” in different parts of the Gaza Strip in recent hours.
“Among the targets attacked are military buildings, warehouses, rocket launching points, observation posts, terrorist commands and other military infrastructure,” according to a military statement. Among these actions is a night attack “against two rocket launchers in the Rafah area that were aimed at the Kerem Shalom region.”
Also in Rafá, troops from the Givati, Nahal and 401st brigades have “eliminated terrorists who tried to attack our forces” and have located several caches with weapons, including Kalashnikov rifles, grenade launchers, grenades and explosives.
These operations on Rafah occur despite the order issued on Friday by the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which ordered an “immediate” halt to the offensive on Rafah, from where hundreds of thousands of civilians have fled.
The military text, published on the website of the Israeli Armed Forces, explains that the 98th Division continues fighting “in the heart of Jabalia”, in the north of the Gaza Strip. There, a military warehouse located inside a school was raided and “dozens of pieces of rockets and weapons” were found inside.
“This demonstrates once again the cynical use of civilian infrastructure for terrorist purposes by Hamas, which continues to use the civilian population as human shields,” the Israeli Army highlighted.
There have also been military operations in the central Gaza Strip, where soldiers “have eliminated several terrorists.”
The Israeli Army also reports military operations in the West Bank, with several arrests, “without any casualties among our forces.”
They have also reported night bombings by Israeli aircraft against “terrorist infrastructure” of the Lebanese Shiite militia party Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, specifically in Al Jiam and Aita al Shaab. They have also used artillery against Al Khiam, Jula, Merkaba and Kfar Kila.
