The Israeli Foreign Minister responds to Iran that any country that threatens to destroy Israel deserves to be destroyed
June 30 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz warned Iran twice late on Saturday that he would attack Hezbollah “at full force” if the Shiite militia did not withdraw from southern Lebanon and directly assured Tehran that it would be “destroyed” if it persisted with its threats.
Katz responded in these terms to a statement by Iran’s mission to the United Nations in which he assured that, if Israel initiated a “comprehensive military aggression” against Lebanon, “all options, including the full participation of the resistance axis, would be on the table.”
Katz has not mince his words and has sent a “clear” response to Tehran via social network X. “If Hezbollah does not cease fire and withdraw from southern Lebanon, we will act against them at full force until security is restored and residents can return to their homes,” he said.
Later, he warned Tehran that “a regime that threatens to destroy deserves to be destroyed”, in an exchange of statements that takes place in the midst of a particularly alarming moment on the border between Lebanon and Israel.
Since the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip began after the Hamas attacks on October 7, Hezbollah – backed by Iran and which has significant weight in Lebanon – and the Jewish State Army have maintained a series of confrontations. that are increasing.
As a result, more than 150,000 people have been forced to move, 60,000 on the Israeli side and 95,000 on the Lebanese side, according to estimates by the World Organization for Migration (IOM), while several countries have in their last days raised their recommendations against displacement to Lebanon given the seriousness of the situation.
