MADRID 27 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported this Wednesday that members of the Caracal Battalion have shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle that had crossed the border with Egypt and was carrying various weapons and ammunition.
Once the drone was shot down, the Caracal Battalion troops verified that it was carrying four rifles, five magazines and hundreds of ammunition, as detailed by the Israeli military authorities in their usual war report.
The IDF has detailed that the incident occurred in the area under the command of the Paran Brigade, whose headquarters is located in Ketziot, just 40 kilometers from the Gaza Strip. Egypt and Israel share more than 260 kilometers of common border.
Israel and the Shiite militia party Hezbollah reached a ceasefire agreement the day before to end hostilities in Lebanon, although it is true that the Israeli Army is still active in its offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
