The Israeli military on Sunday released images of the remains of the projectile that killed 12 civilians on Saturday in Majdal Shams, in the Israeli-controlled Syrian Golan Heights, to prove that it was an Iranian-made Falaq-1 rocket.
“Attached is a comparison of the remains of the Falaq-1 missile that was launched from Lebanon at the Majdal Shams football field with the Iranian Falaq-1 missile,” a military statement said.
The Israeli military has also released an image of what it claims was the trajectory of the projectile that hit the Druze village. The trajectory traces a straight line from the other side of the border with Lebanon to the village of Majdal Shams.
Twelve Israeli Druze civilians, most of them minors, were killed on Sunday in Majdal Shams, in the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan Heights, by what Israel said was an Iranian rocket fired by Hezbollah from Lebanon. Hezbollah, however, denies any involvement and blames an Israeli anti-aircraft interceptor missile.
