Israel recognizes 320 projectiles launched from Lebanon during Yom Kippur

MADRID 12 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Israeli Armed Forces reported this Saturday that they have counted some 320 projectiles launched from Lebanese territory towards their own territory during the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, between Friday night and sunset on Saturday.

Air raid sirens have been activated in the regions of Galilee, Acre, Safed, Haifa and its surroundings, forcing more than a million Israelis to go to shelters during the Yom Kippur holiday, according to the newspaper. Israeli ‘The Times of Israel’.

Hezbollah this morning announced several attacks against Israel throughout the night, such as the one carried out against a group of soldiers in Jardah, another attack against the Souma base in the Golan, a third rocket bombardment at the Zarit barracks or a military post in Ma’ilia, opposite Yarine.

Hezbollah has also claimed responsibility for an attack on a military base near the Israeli town of Haifa, where there was “an explosive materials factory.”

On the other hand, the Israeli Armed Forces have declared several towns on the northern border a closed military zone, a measure that usually precedes military incursions into Lebanese soil to attack the Hezbollah militia. Specifically, it affects the municipalities of Zarit, Shomera, Shtula, Netuya and Even Menachem.

Meanwhile, the Home Front Command has announced the lifting of restrictions, so classes can be resumed in towns in the north of the country and in the Golan Heights. In addition, activities with up to 2,000 activities can be carried out in the communities of Daliyat al Karmel and Isfiya.
