This Sunday, the Israeli Army issued new evacuation orders for populations in the Baalbek area, the scene in recent days of a wave of Israeli bombings that has left more than fifty dead in this historic region in the east of the country.
The order concerns several residential blocks in the town of Douris, in the southwest of Baalbek and in the heart of the Bekaa Valley, where there are “facilities and interests” of the Hezbollah militias, according to the notice issued by the Army’s Arabic spokesman. of Israel, Colonel Avichai Adraee.
The spokesperson urges all those affected to leave the area and establish a security perimeter 500 meters away for the next four hours.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed this Sunday that they have killed two commanders of the Shiite Hezbollah party-militia in Lebanon, both in Khiam.
The first has been identified as Farouk Amin Alashi, who has been identified as “responsible for the execution of numerous plans to launch anti-tank and anti-tank missiles towards the settlements of the Finger of Galilee, and Metula in particular.”
The second deceased has been identified as Yosef Ahmed Nun, “platoon commander of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force in Khiam”, who was dedicated among other tasks to launching “anti-tank fire towards Israeli settlements and forces in the region”, according to IDF reports.
