MADRID Dec. 30 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Israeli Armed Forces reported this Monday that they have shot down a ballistic missile from Yemen, launched by the Houthi militias.

“The missile was intercepted before it crossed into Israel. The alerts were activated for fear that interceptor fragments would fall,” the Army explained in a statement.

Previously, he had reported the activation of the anti-aircraft alert in the center of the country after the launch of a projectile from Yemen. The projectile was intercepted by the Air Force.

The Israeli ambulance service, the Red Star of David, has reported that there have been no direct injuries as a result of the attack from Yemen. Several people have been treated for anxiety attacks when trying to reach shelters.

The Houthis have launched eleven ballistic missiles and nine drones against Israeli territory during the month of December in attacks in retaliation for the Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip.
