Israel estimates more than 200 drones and missiles launched by Iran and confirms damage to a military base

April 14 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have raised the number of drones and missiles fired by Iran in its massive attack against Israeli territory to more than 200 and have confirmed damage, although minor, to a military base in the south of the country.

The military spokesman, Daniel Hagari, has assured in a new appearance that the majority of the Iranian missiles have been intercepted by the Arrow defense system outside Israeli airspace, according to the 'Times of Israel' newspaper. However, some projectiles have hit Israel, where alarms have been activated in practically the entire country.

Official Iranian agencies have released videos that supposedly demonstrate these impacts and have included among the targets hit a base that would have been used in the bombing of the Iranian Consulate in Damascus in early April, in which members of the Revolutionary Guard died.

Hagari, who has not concluded the attack, has confirmed that a girl has suffered injuries in the Negev area, in the south, due to the impact of shrapnel resulting from the interception of an Iranian projectile. The Magen David Adom ambulance service has reported on social media that she is in critical condition.
