MADRID 21 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Israeli Army reported this Sunday that it has arrested a Palestinian whom it accused of throwing Molotov cocktails in the settlement of Migdal Oz, south of the West Bank city of Bethlehem.
“Recently, a terrorist approached the settlement of Migdal Oz, in the Etzion Brigade, and threw Molotov cocktails and a burning tire. The settlement’s space defense fighters went to the scene and detained the terrorist,” reads a statement.
The Israel Defense Forces have explained that the individual has been handed over to security forces for investigation. “There have been no casualties among our forces and no damage was caused,” he added.
Hours earlier, the Ministry of Health linked to the Palestinian Authority reported the death of a 20-year-old young man – identified as Abdul Karim Imad Mazid – when he was run over by an Israeli military vehicle in the city of Anabta, east of Tulkarem. (in the northern West Bank).
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the young man was driving his motorcycle the day before when the Israeli military entered the city and chased some of the vehicles.
Around 750 Palestinians have been killed and more than 6,250 injured in the West Bank and East Jerusalem at the hands of Israeli security forces and settlers since the Hamas attacks, which left 1,200 people dead and another 240 kidnapped. Added to these are more than 42,600 deaths in the Gaza Strip as a result of the bloody Israeli military offensive.
