Jul 24. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Israeli security forces on Wednesday demolished the West Bank home of a Palestinian responsible for the deaths of two Israelis in an attack in February at a gas station near the settlement of Eli.
The Israeli army said in a statement posted on its website that the house demolished belonged to Muhamad Manasra and was located in Qalandia, an operation that has led to clashes with dozens of Palestinians, with no reports of casualties so far.
The attack near Eli resulted in the deaths of Rabbi Yitzhak Zeiger, 57, and Uria Hartum, 16. Manasra was shot dead by an armed civilian who was nearby.
Israeli authorities have a policy of demolishing the homes of Palestinians accused of carrying out attacks, amid allegations by international organisations that the practice amounts to collective punishment.
