Israel confirms the death of four other soldiers in fighting in the northern Gaza Strip

The Israeli Army confirmed this Tuesday the death of four other soldiers in combat in the north of the Gaza Strip, in the midst of the offensive unleashed against the enclave after the attacks carried out on October 7, 2023 by the Islamic Resistance Movement. (Hamas) and other Palestinian groups against Israeli territory.

Thus, it has indicated in a statement that the deceased are Joni Keren, Nisim Meytal, Aviv Gilboa and Naor Haimov, all of them members of an elite unit. Likewise, he has stated that an officer has also been seriously injured in the clashes in the north of the Palestinian enclave.

The offensive against Gaza was launched after the aforementioned attacks, which left some 1,200 dead and nearly 250 kidnapped, according to Israeli authorities. To date, more than 43,000 Palestinians have died in the Gaza offensive, in addition to nearly 750 Palestinians killed at the hands of Israeli security forces and in attacks carried out by settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem since that date.
