June 24 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Israeli Armed Forces reported this Monday that Israeli Brigadier General Mohamed el Atrash, of Bedouin origin, died on October 7 in the attack by Gazan militias against southern Israel and that his body is being held in the Strip. from Gaza.

El Atrash, father of thirteen children, and originally from Mulada, was stationed in the Bedouin Tracking Unit of the Northern Brigade of the Gaza Division.

For two months after the October 7 attack, El Atrash was missing and it was finally confirmed that he had been kidnapped. Now it has been reported that he died on October 7 and that he was a soldier, a fact that had not been revealed until now.

The Hostage Families Forum has published a statement expressing its regret over the death of El Atrash. “The Families Forum will continue to support the family at this very difficult time and until their remains are returned to Israel,” the organization noted, according to the newspaper ‘The Jerusalem Post’.

This same Monday, the Hostage Families Forum published a video recorded by Palestinian militiamen in which three hostages can be seen being transported in a van to the Gaza Strip. These are Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eliya Cohen and Or Levy.
