Oct. 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Israeli Army confirmed this Monday the death of another soldier in the fighting with the Shiite party-militia Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, within the framework of the invasion unleashed last week after more than eleven months of fighting with the group. following the attacks carried out on October 7 by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and other Palestinian factions.
Thus, he has detailed that the deceased is Aviv Magen, 43 years old, who “died in combat while serving near the border between Israel and Lebanon”, without there being any further details in this regard for now. “The family has been notified,” he said in a statement, before expressing his condolences.
According to information collected by the Israeli newspaper ‘The Times of Israel’, Magen has died along with Etay Azulay, whose death was previously confirmed. On the other hand, the Arabic spokesman for the Israeli Army, Avichai Adrai, has issued a new evacuation order for about 20 towns in southern Lebanon. “Hezbollah’s activities force the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to act against them. The IDF does not want to cause them harm. For their safety, they must immediately evacuate their homes and move north of the Auali River,” he stressed.
“Anyone who is close to Hezbollah members, facilities and combat assets puts their life in danger,” Adrai said on his account on the social network X, where he stressed that “going to the south is not allowed.” “Any movement to the south can put your life in danger. We will tell you when you should return home, at the appropriate time,” he concluded.

Israel has described its invasion of Lebanon as a “selective and limited” operation against Hezbollah’s “terrorist targets and infrastructure”, while Lebanese authorities have reported more than 2,000 deaths from Israeli attacks over the past year, a figure that has increased dramatically over the past two weeks amid intensified bombing by Israel.
