Israel confirms it killed Haniye in attack in Tehran

MADRID Dec. 23 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, confirmed this Monday his country’s responsibility for the attack in which the leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Ismail Haniye, died in an attack on July 31 in Tehran.

Haniye, who had headed the political arm of Hamas since 2017, was assassinated on July 31 in an attack against the building where he was staying in the Iranian capital.

“These days, when the Houthi terrorist organization fires missiles at Israel, I want to send a clear message to them: we have defeated Hamas, we have defeated Hezbollah, we have blinded Iran’s defensive systems and we have damaged its production systems” for missiles, Katz stated in statements reported by ‘The Times of Israel’.

“We have overthrown the regime of (Bashar) Al Assad in Syria, we have dealt hard blows to the Axis of Evil and we are also going to forcefully attack the Houthi terrorist organization in Yemen, the last one left standing,” he noted.

Katz has warned that “we are going to attack the (Houthi) strategic infrastructure and behead their leaders just as we did with Haniye, (Yahya) Sinwar and (Hasan) Nasrallah in Tehran, Gaza and Lebanon.” “We are also going to do it in Hodeida and Sanaa,” he stressed.

“Whoever raises a hand against Israel will have his hand cut off. The long arm of the Israel Defense Forces will attack them and settle scores,” he warned.
