Israeli aircraft bombed several military installations in central Syria on Sunday night, as reported by the official Syrian news agency, SANA, citing military sources.

“At around 8:05 p.m. today the Israeli enemy launched an airstrike from the direction of northern Lebanon and attacked several military installations in the central region. It caused material damage,” according to the military source cited by SANA.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has reported attacks against three military installations in the provinces of Homs and Hama. Specifically, it has attacked two locations in Homs and one more in Hama.

“The explosions have continued for about two hours and there are still active fires in some spots,” according to the Observatory, a London-based organization with informants inside the country.

In Homs, a warehouse with weapons located in Shinshar, in the south of the province, was attacked, and a second warehouse with ammunition has been attacked in the town of Al Shatay, in the east of Homs.

In Hama, a missile depot located west of Al Salamiya, in the east of the province, has been attacked. The attacks have caused explosions and the detonation of projectiles that have fallen in the area. The authorities have mobilized ambulance personnel due to the existence of personal injuries, always according to the Observatory.

The Observatory has documented thirteen Israeli attacks on Syrian territory during the month of October, eleven aerial and two on the ground, which have caused the death of nine fighters, including four from Hezbollah, one from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, two Syrian collaborators with the Iranian forces , a Syrian soldier and a journalist. In addition, five civilians have died, including three women, and nine more have been injured to varying degrees.

The Israeli attacks are concentrated on the border between Syria and Lebanon according to the Israeli version to prevent the entry of weapons from Syria to Lebanon.
