According to the Israeli military, Hamas was using the complex to “plan and carry out terrorist operations” against its forces and against the State of Israel.
Although the IDF has claimed to have taken “many measures” such as “the use of precision weapons, airstrikes and additional intelligence information” to reduce damage to civilians, local sources have confirmed to the Palestinian news agency WAFA that Dozens of people, including children and journalists, have been injured as a result of the attack.
The IDF has continued to accuse Hamas of violating international law by using civilians and their institutions as a “shield.”

“Overnight, the Air Force attacked targets in the central Gaza Strip that posed a threat to IDF forces operating in the area, and artillery fire was carried out. The IDF prepares in advance for various terrorist patterns and act accordingly in defense and attack. The directives of the Home Front Command save lives. The public is requested to continue obeying these directives,” the Israeli military added.
The Israeli Army launched a bloody offensive against the Gaza Strip in the wake of Hamas and other Palestinian militias on October 7, 2023, which left 1,200 dead and 240 hostages.
