Jul 30 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Israeli army attacked Syrian armed forces positions in the town of Tal Um Hawran, in the southwestern province of Daraa, on Monday evening, with no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
The attack targeted a military base where ground and air defence forces were stationed, according to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which is reporting in the Arab country.
Syrian forces have responded by firing anti-aircraft missiles to intercept drones flying over their airspace.
Since the beginning of 2024, the Observatory has recorded 55 Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, destroying 111 targets – weapons and ammunition depots, headquarters or vehicles – and killing 180 people, most of them Syrian soldiers, Iranians and pro-Iranian militiamen, but also 16 civilians, including a girl.
