September 21 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Israeli Armed Forces have reported that they have killed the two members of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) who “probably” executed the last six hostages located by Israeli forces in a tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip.

“The day after the hostages were killed, forces from the 162nd Division identified two terrorists emerging from a nearby tunnel in the Tel Sultan area and killed them in an exchange of fire,” Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari said.

After comparing the DNA samples found in the tunnel with the “terrorists'” material, it was found that they belonged to the two deceased, Hagari added.

This evidence would show that the two deceased were in the same tunnel where the bodies of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Ori Danino, Alex Lobanov, Carmel Gat and Almog Sarusi were found. “We are investigating their involvement in the murder,” said the military spokesman.
