An attack by the Islamic State terrorist group on a vehicle has left more than 20 dead among members of pro-government militias near the town of Al Taibe, next to the Syrian city of Homs (west), according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Among the dead are at least nine militiamen from the Jerusalem Brigade, a Syrian-Palestinian group that acts in favor of the country's president, Bashar al Assad, while another seven belonging to the “regime forces” and local militiamen have been injured. .
The organization, based in London and reporting in the country, has recorded 321 deaths related to military operations in Syrian territory since the beginning of 2024, among which there are 37 civilians, 24 jihadists and 260 pro-government militiamen or Syrian military personnel.
