iRobot presents its new Roomba j7+ robot vacuum in Mexico

Is it worth buying Roomba j7+?

The Roomba j7+ is recommended for homes with pets, and works on different types of floors indoors, including tile, ceramic, laminate, hardwood, parquet and even carpet, being able to scale up to 10mm when moving.

With its “Smart Mapping”, the Roomba now vacuums in orderly lines and more accurately identifies the areas that need more attention, thanks to its 3-stage cleaning system.

Improvements that are part of iRobot’s software can also be used in other iRobot robots, such as last year’s launch model, the Roomba i3/i3+ EVO, which will receive a software update to integrate these new technologies.

According to iRobot Mexico executives, despite having grown in Mexico in recent years, its market penetration is still less than 2.5%, compared to 7-10% in the United States. His goal is to grow more in the next 5 years, as the market is more mature, and to make the Roomba part of the “basic basket of household appliances”. They currently sell 25 thousand units annually.

Cost and availability

The new Roomba j7/j7+ is already available in the company’s online store (irobotshop.mx) and in other e-commerce sites such as Amazon or Linio, among others.

It will also be for sale in physical stores such as Costco or Liverpool in the Mexican Republic. The model with a cleaning station, the Roomba j7+, has a retail price of $28,000 pesos MXN.
