Aug. 28 (EUROPA PRESS) –

At least four members of the Islamic State jihadist organization have died in an ambush by the Iraqi militias of the Popular Mobilization Forces (FMP) in the province of Nineveh.

“Through a tactical operation based on precise information, a PMF force in Nineveh was able to pursue ISIS terrorist gangs in the Albu Saif area,” according to a statement from the Security Media Cell collected this Sunday by the official Iraqi news agency INA.

According to the statement, the FMP tracked the movements of the jihadists, who ended up ambushing them in this region in the north of the country, which borders Syria to the northwest.

A fifth member of the Islamic State patrol has fled and has already begun his search, the note concludes.
