The Iraqi Army has announced this Saturday the death of five presumed members of the jihadist organization Islamic State in an air strike carried out in the province of Kirkuk.
According to the military statement collected by the official Iraqi news agency INA, the Army identifies the deceased as possible “members of the Islamic State” who have survived the territorial defeat and the expulsion of the organization in early 2018.
The bombing operation was carried out with an F-16 fighter plane on the outskirts of the town of Bir Ahmed.
After the attack, the Iraqi infantry identified five deceased jihadists and seized five assault rifles, seven hand grenades, 24 chargers, seven detonators, money and various mobile phones.
