“Israel is committing war crimes in the Gaza Strip with the support of the United States, and the terrorist attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus was with the use of American fighter jets and missiles,” Amirabdollahian denounced in a subsequent press conference held in the Syrian Foreign Office in Damascus.

Thus, he has reproached the United States and “two European countries” for their silence in the face of the attack, which, he assured, represents a “green light” signal to Israel to continue with its “crimes,” reports SANA, the news agency. syrian news.

Amirabdollahian has reported that he has met with the Syrian president, Bashar al Assad, with whom in addition to discussing the issue of the Israeli attack on the headquarters of Iranian diplomacy in Damascus, they have also discussed “important regional issues”, such as the situation in Palestine.

At least 16 people were killed in Israel's attack on the Iranian Consulate in the Syrian capital last week. Among the dead are two civilians, although the majority of the victims are members of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and several Syrian members of a militia related to Hezbollah.
