Amirabdollahian has reported that he has met with the Syrian president, Bashar al Assad, with whom in addition to discussing the issue of the Israeli attack on the headquarters of Iranian diplomacy in Damascus, they have also discussed “important regional issues”, such as the situation in Palestine.
At least 16 people were killed in Israel's attack on the Iranian Consulate in the Syrian capital last week.
