Iran sanctions four US entities and 10 individuals

Iranian authorities on Monday issued new sanctions against four US entities and 10 individuals for meddling “in the internal affairs” of Tehran, promoting violence and unrest in the country or increasing economic restrictions against Iran.

Among the measures, as reported by the Iranian Foreign Ministry in a statement, are the Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, Brian Nelson, General Michael Kurilla, who is part of the Central Operations Command of the US Army, the CENTCOM, as well as Lieutenant Gregory Guillot, from the same agency.

In addition, on Tehran’s ‘blacklist’ is also Mark Wallace, executive director of United Against Nuclear Iran, a bipartisan non-profit defense organization, or a commander of the Ninth Air Force, according to the Mehr news agency. .

These new restrictions imply that individuals and entities are subject to the prohibition of issuing visas, as well as the impossibility of entering Iranian territory, in addition to having their bank accounts blocked in the Iranian financial system or the confiscation of their property and assets in Iranian territory.
