Follow live the latest news on Iran's attack on Israel
April 15 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Iranian authorities have reopened this Monday the Imam Khomeini and Mehrabad airports, located in the capital, Tehran, after the restrictions imposed during the day on Sunday after the attack with missiles and drones against Israel in response to the recent bombing against its Consulate in the capital of Syria, Damascus.
According to information collected by the Iranian news agency Mehr, Mehrabad airport restarted operations at 5:30 a.m. (local time), while Imam Khomeini airport did so just half an hour later.
Iran has defended its attacks against Israel in the face of international criticism and has argued that they are part of a legitimate response and its right to “self-defense” after the aforementioned bombing against its Consulate in Damascus, attributed to the Israeli Army and which resulted in the death of seven members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
